As August came to a close, Bell & Ross unveiled their latest women’s collection, BR S Novarosa, at a pop-up shop in VivoCity, Singapore. The 39mm case size is currently the smallest of Bell & Ross’s square case models. The glamorous dial of the BR S Novarosa is inspired by the pink hues of a Supernova, the rare astronomical event that occurs when a star explodes. A star shines brightest in its latter stages of life, right before exploding into dust. Could this signal a new elegant era for the luxury French-Swiss brand?

The BR S Novarosa follows in the celestial-inspired footsteps of the currently available BR S Diamond Eagle, which features diamonds in the formation of the Aquila constellation set against a midnight blue dial. Bell & Ross has a historical association with aviation; these collections pay an elegant tribute to the stars used for navigation by ancient travelers.

Both the Bell & Ross Diamond Eagle and the Novarosa are powered by an in-house Quartz calibre BR-CAL.102 movement and feature the same size 39 mm satin-polished case styles. While the Diamond Eagle features only the hour and minute hands, the Novarosa displays hours, minutes, and seconds in the sub-dial at 6 o’clock, as well as the date. The new BR S Novarosa is affixed to a luxurious Milanese mesh bracelet while the BR S Heritage Eagle sits on an alligator leather strap matching its dial.
